Graduate Student Research Day - April 1, 2009

Graduate Student Symposium

9:00 am–5:00 pm, TSC Colony Rooms & International Lounge
This year the Intermountain Paper and Poster Symposium will be held Wednesday. There will be sessions for oral presentations as well as poster presentations for each college. The deadline for submitting abstracts is Friday, March 13th. The goal of the Symposium is to provide student researchers the opportunity to present their research to peers in a friendly academic environment.

 

 Graduate Scholars Forum Workshop

Ray Reutzel, 2007 D. Wynne Thorne award winner and professor of education, will present on topics of interest to graduate students.

 

National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Workshop

THURSDAY 4/2/2009, 3:30–5:00, Merrill Cazier Library, Room 101
Join Dr. Christopher Fawson for an informational workshop about this fellowship opportunity.  If you are a student in the early stages of pursuing a research-based master's or PhD degree--in the sciences, mathematics, social sciences, or engineering--you may apply for these prestigious fellowships, which include:

  • $30,000 annual stipend (for up to three years)
  • $10,500 cost-of-education allowance
  • $1,000 one-time travel allowance
