The D. Wynne Thorne breakfast brings recipients of USU highest research accolade together with President Doctoral Research Fellows, USU’s most exceptional graduate students. At a small breakfast, students get the chance to interact with and learn from the experience of previous D. Wynne Thorne Career Research awardees.

Each Research Week, the previous year’s recipient of the D. Wynne Thorne Career Research Awardee gives an address about lessons learned throughout their career. This year, John Neely, professor of art, will give the annual address.

Merrill-Cazier Library New Books Lounge

Authoring a book represents a significant feat of scholarship, and USU’s Office of Research and Graduate Studies recognizes those who have published in the past year at a reception in the New Books Lounge of the library. All faculty books are on display before they are placed in the Richard Schockmel book room for check out. During the reception, a few selected authors are invited to give short presentations about their books.
